Check the DetailsPipetting is the process of using a pipettor to measure and dispense small volumes of liquid. It is a fundamental technique used in many laboratory procedures, including preparing solutions, dispensing samples for analysis, and performing various types of assays.
When pipetting, the user first sets the desired volume on the pipettor by adjusting the thumb wheel or lever. Then, the pipettor’s tip is placed into the liquid, and the trigger or button is activated to draw up the liquid into the pipettor. The tip is then moved to the destination container and the trigger or button is activated again to dispense the liquid.
Accuracy and precision are important considerations when pipetting. Many modern pipettors are designed to be highly accurate and precise, with the ability to dispense volumes to within a few microliters of the set volume. However, it’s also important for the user to be properly trained in the use of the pipettor and to adhere to proper pipetting technique to ensure accurate and precise results.
Pipetting can also be done manually without using any instrument, it is called as manual pipetting but it’s not as precise as using a pipettor and also it’s more laborious.

Shanghai Qiujing Biochemical Reagent & Instrument Co., Ltd. designs and manufactures precision liquid handling instruments in Shanghai. We operate as a China Pipetting Equipment Supplier across three working scales: manual and electric micropipettes, large-volume macropipettes and the X8 automatic micro liquid dispenser. These instruments are applied in assay set-up, sample preparation, reagent dispensing, serial dilution and quality-control testing in life science, medical testing, pharmaceutical, food, environmental and industrial laboratories.
The Qiujing brand has been dedicated to pipette research, development and production since 1988, with the Chinese and English trademarks registered in 1992. Our manufacturing is supported by CE and ISO 13485 certified quality management, an in-house test laboratory and a full-process inspection routine that covers raw material selection, in-process testing and finished-product testing.
Single-channel, 8-channel and 12-channel air-displacement pipettes with volumes from 0.1 µL upward. The line includes the Lucky series, the Lotus fully autoclavable series, the Eco electric pipettor, the Airy miniature pipette and the Sturdy stepper pipette.
Large-volume liquid control between 0.25 mL and 5 mL, extendable to the 10 mL class. Options cover the E-flow electric large-capacity pipette, the H-Flow manual controller and the Bustle adjustable quantitative pipettor.
The X8 platform for repetitive micro-volume dispensing, built for high efficiency, low noise and safe operation where the same volume is delivered many times per shift.
| Range | Working volume focus | Drive and control | Typical application fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Micropipette | 0.1 µL to 10 mL; single, 8-channel and 12-channel formats | Air-displacement piston; manual thumb-wheel setting or motorised electric pipettor | Assay set-up, plate work, sample preparation, small-volume reagent addition |
| Macropipette | 0.25 mL to 5 mL, up to the 10 mL class | Piston-driven manual controller or electric large-capacity pipette with adjustable speed | Buffer and media preparation, bulk reagent transfer, filling tubes and bottles |
| Automatic Micro Liquid Dispenser | Micro-volume dispensing through to the 100 mL class, depending on model | Automated dispensing with low-noise drive, digital setting and safety-oriented design | Repetitive filling, serial dilution, batch sample processing and QC throughput work |
Air-displacement micropipettes are the working basis for most bench routines. Volume is set on the thumb wheel, the tip seals on the shaft, and the piston stroke draws and delivers the liquid. In our range this is offered as single-channel instruments for tube and vial work, and as 8-channel and 12-channel formats for microplate rows and columns where repeatability across channels matters more than speed of setting.
Where a micropipette becomes impractical, the macropipette range handles measured transfer from 0.25 mL to 5 mL and up to the 10 mL class. Typical tasks include preparing buffers and media, splitting culture volumes, adding bulk reagent to tubes or bottles, and transferring viscous or foaming solutions where a controlled delivery rate matters more than a very small volume increment.
The X8 automatic micro liquid dispenser addresses the other end of the workflow: the same volume delivered again and again, without the operator resetting an instrument each time. It combines high efficiency, low operating noise and a safety-oriented design, which suits laboratories filling multiwell plates, dispensing into tube racks, or preparing dilution series where a single mis-set volume changes the whole batch.
Contact parts, shaft sealing and tip fit determine how repeatable a pipette stays after months of use. Our autoclavable models are built for laboratories that sterilise between sessions rather than relying on chemical disinfection alone, and tip selection is treated as part of the pipetting configuration rather than an accessory decision.
We build pipetting ranges for laboratories, distributors and instrument brands, so configuration work is part of normal production rather than a special request. Our team takes the working volume band, channel format, sterilisation requirement and user interface preference, then proposes a model or a customised build.
Quality management at Qiujing is documented and certificate-backed. The company holds CE and ISO 13485 quality system certification, together with an EU Medical Device Notification certificate, a Certificate of Export Sales for Medical Devices and a Class I Medical Device Production Record Certificate. These documents support acceptance in regulated purchasing programmes and are issued with the commercial paperwork for confirmed orders.
On the production side, every instrument passes raw material inspection, in-process testing and finished-product inspection before packing. Tests are performed on our own test equipment, which also supports sample verification when a customer needs to confirm performance against an internal specification before a bulk release.
| Input from your project | What it determines |
|---|---|
| Working volume range and the number of volumes per workflow | Model band and whether a single-channel, multi-channel or large-volume instrument fits |
| Liquid properties — viscosity, vapour pressure, foaming tendency, temperature | Piston and seal choice, tip selection and the dispensing technique to standardise |
| Plate format, tube or bottle format and batch size | Channel count, shaft spacing and whether manual or automated dispensing is appropriate |
| Sterilisation routine and cleaning agents in use | Autoclavable model selection and material compatibility |
| Branding, packaging and market documentation requirements | OEM/ODM scope, label and manual content, shipping configuration |
| Annual quantity and delivery phasing | Batch planning, production schedule and lead time confirmation |
Send the volume band, liquid description, format and target quantity and we will return a model recommendation, a customisation position and a delivery schedule. Where a specification cannot be fixed from the first set of data, we offer a sample for verification before the order is finalised.
We manufacture three ranges: micropipettes with single-channel, 8-channel and 12-channel formats; macropipettes for 0.25 mL to 5 mL and up to 10 mL liquid handling; and the X8 automatic micro liquid dispenser for repetitive micro-volume dispensing.
The Qiujing Lotus Series Single Channel Fully Autoclavable Micropipette and our fully autoclavable micropipette model are designed for sterilisation by autoclave. We confirm the sterilisation routine during configuration so that seals and internal parts match your cycle.
Yes. Sample confirmation is a defined step in our process: we propose a technical solution, provide samples for performance verification, and finalise specifications only after your confirmation before formal production begins.
We provide OEM/ODM services covering product design, specification adjustment, appearance customisation and packaging solutions, based on your drawings, samples or market requirements. This includes branded supply for distributors building their own pipetting line.
Our quality management system holds CE and ISO 13485 certification, supported by an EU Medical Device Notification certificate, a Certificate of Export Sales for Medical Devices and a Class I Medical Device Production Record Certificate. Documents are issued with confirmed orders.
Standard lead time is 10 working days, with the exact schedule confirmed against order quantity and customisation scope. Instruments are packed for safe global shipment, and after-sales support covers product consultation, operation guidance and troubleshooting through our technical team at +86-021-62403896.
