Laboratory Photometer Series Industry knowledge

Shanghai Qiujing Biochemical Reagent & Instrument Co., Ltd. is a China-based Laboratory Photometer Series manufacturer supplying visible and ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometers to laboratories, distributors and OEM partners. The series sits inside our Laboratory Instruments range next to centrifuges, water baths, stirrers, balances and pH meters, and covers the measurement work that fills a quality-control bench: concentration measurement, wavelength scanning, endpoint assays and comparative light-intensity determination.

  • Five spectrophotometer families: ultramicro, visible manual, manual UV-Vis, automatic-wavelength UV-Vis and proportional double beam.
  • Imported tungsten and deuterium lamps on the UV-Vis models, and a 1200 lines/mm high-performance grating on the double-beam units.
  • Sample rooms that accept 5-100 mm cuvettes on the UV752/UV752N and UV754N/UV755B models.
  • OEM/ODM specification, appearance and packaging work handled from our Shanghai production base.

Our Photometer Range at a Glance

The range is organised by wavelength class and detection method rather than by catalogue tier. A visible-only manual instrument and a proportional double-beam UV-Vis instrument solve different problems on the same bench, and the families below show where each one sits.

Model family Type Wavelength setting Bandwidth Sample format Typical fit
QJ-Nano-800 Ultramicro, flash light source Automatic 1 nm designation Micro-volume Work where sample volume is the limiting factor
721 / 722N / 722N/S Visible, single beam, imported tungsten lamp Manual 4-6 nm Standard cuvette Routine visible assays, teaching and incoming-material checks
UV752 / UV752N UV-Vis, single beam, tungsten and deuterium lamps Manual 4 / 5 nm 5-100 mm cuvette room General UV-Vis quantitation and long-path-length measurement
UV754N / UV755B UV-Vis, LCD display Automatic wavelength 2 / 4 nm 5-100 mm cuvette room Multi-wavelength procedures and spectral scans
UV756CRT / UV759CRT UV-Vis, proportional double beam, 1200 lines/mm grating Automatic 1.8 / 2 nm 5-100 mm cuvette room Drift-sensitive work and longer measurement sequences

Where Each Configuration Fits

  • Visible manual (721, 722N, 722N/S). Methods that use a fixed set of visible wavelengths, with digital display of measurement values and an imported tungsten lamp.
  • Manual UV-Vis (UV752, UV752N). Methods that need the ultraviolet region, operator-set wavelength and a large sample room for 5-100 mm cuvettes.
  • Automatic wavelength UV-Vis (UV754N, UV755B). Procedures that step through multiple wavelengths or scan a spectrum at 2/4 nm bandwidth on an LCD display.
  • Proportional double beam (UV756CRT, UV759CRT). Sequences where source drift must not appear in the reading; also the family to use when band separation matters.
  • Ultramicro (QJ-Nano-800). Sample-limited work on a flash light source with an ultramicro measurement position.

Optical System, Lamps and Grating

Visible measurement in the series uses a tungsten lamp; ultraviolet measurement adds a deuterium lamp, and the imported lamp types are named directly in the models UV752N, UV754N, UV755B, UV756CRT and UV759CRT. The proportional double-beam models carry a 1200 lines/mm high-performance grating to separate wavelengths across the working range.

Double-beam detection compares the sample and reference channels continuously, so lamp ageing and small source fluctuations are compensated during a run rather than corrected afterwards. The QJ-Nano-800 ultramicro spectrophotometer takes a different route, using a flash light source and a micro-volume position for laboratories whose constraint is how much sample they can spare.

Sample Handling, Cuvette Geometry and Throughput

The large sample room on UV752/UV752N and UV754N/UV755B accommodates 5-100 mm cuvettes, which lets one instrument cover short-path measurement of concentrated solutions and long-path measurement of dilute ones. Path length also drives the working concentration range, so cuvette format is one of the first items we agree during configuration.

  • Single-beam instruments measure one cuvette position at a time; batch rhythm depends mainly on how quickly the operator changes wavelength.
  • Automatic wavelength setting on UV754N/UV755B and the double-beam models removes the manual wavelength step from each sample.
  • Matched cuvettes, clean optical faces and a consistent fill level keep repeatability within the instrument class you selected.

Configuration Options and Data Handling

Configuration is decided along four axes: wavelength region, bandwidth, wavelength-setting method and detection mode. The UV756CRT/UV759CRT proportional double-beam spectrophotometer covers the most demanding end of that scale, while the manual visible models cover fixed-wavelength routine work.

  • Manual or automatic wavelength setting, and digital or LCD display.
  • Single-beam or proportional double-beam measurement path.
  • Bandwidth class from 4-6 nm down to 1.8/2 nm depending on the spectral features to be resolved.
  • Readout arrangement agreed per order, so results match the laboratory record-keeping method in use.

Quality Control, Sampling and Acceptance

Qiujing operates under a CE and ISO 13485 quality system and manufactures with full-process control: raw material inspection, in-process testing and finished-product inspection. Our in-house test laboratory supports performance verification, and sample units can be supplied so that the chosen model is checked against your own method before bulk production.

  • Agreed specification confirmed before production starts.
  • Wavelength and photometric checks, plus repeatability checks, on the inspected unit.
  • Packing and accessory check against the order scope before shipment.

OEM/ODM Customization and Order Scope

Our R&D team handles OEM/ODM work on the photometer series from customer drawings or samples, covering product design adjustments, specification changes, appearance treatment and packaging. Confirmed orders run on a standard 10-working-day production lead time, with the customization scope fixed before formal production.

  • Branding, labels and carton artwork to your market requirements.
  • Specification variants within the same model family.
  • Shipment configuration including matched cuvettes and spare lamp modules where required.

Information We Use to Configure Your Solution

A quotation that can actually be built starts from the method, not from the model number. The matrix below lists the inputs we work from and what each one determines.

Project input What it decides What we need from you

Installation, Maintenance and Spare Parts

The photometers are bench-top instruments. A stable, level surface away from strong vibration and direct sunlight, plus the ventilation clearance stated for the model, is normally enough; the supply arrangement is confirmed on the order so that the unit arrives ready for the local laboratory supply.

  • Tungsten and deuterium lamps are the routine wear items; spare lamp modules can be included in the order scope.
  • Matched cuvettes and standard accessories are supplied with the instrument or as a separate line.
  • Operation documentation covers cuvette handling, lamp replacement and the routine check procedure used at acceptance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which model fits a visible-only method?

721, 722N and 722N/S are the visible family, with manual wavelength setting, 4-6 nm bandwidth, digital display of measurement values and an imported tungsten lamp. They suit fixed-wavelength assays where the ultraviolet region is not required.

What cuvette sizes do the spectrophotometers accept?

The large sample room on UV752/UV752N and UV754N/UV755B takes 5-100 mm cuvettes. For work where sample volume is the limiting factor, QJ-Nano-800 provides an ultramicro measurement position instead.

Can we order photometers under our own brand and packaging?

Yes. Our OEM/ODM service covers product design adjustments, specification changes, appearance treatment and packaging, and we work from drawings or samples supplied by the customer.

How is performance verified before shipment?

Production runs under our CE and ISO 13485 quality system with raw material inspection, in-process testing and finished-product inspection, supported by our in-house test laboratory. Sample units are available so the selected model can be checked against your own method before bulk production.

What do you need from us to prepare a photometer configuration?

Send the method or working wavelengths, the bandwidth and resolution needed, cuvette path lengths and typical sample volume, samples per shift, how results are recorded, branding and packaging requirements, order quantity and delivery destination. From those inputs we confirm the model family, accessory scope and OEM/ODM extent before quoting.
